Other details

  • Download our educational tour brochure for your visit

    We invite you to download our tour brochure before your visit to the Domaine.

    The 2022 tour brochure includes:

    • the visiting instructions;
    • a brief history told by Sir Henri-Gustave Joly;
    • a self-guided tour of the site;
    • the list of the Domaine's remarkable trees;
    • a site map;
    • the list of the 2,800 varieties of plants in the gardens;
    • the lists of plants entered in competition for our Horticultural Trends Contest.

    Upon payment of the admission fee, a Horticultural Competition Voting Coupon will be given to each visitor. Read the instructions carefully and when visiting the gardens, choose your Top 5 varieties from amongst the plants listed under Horticultural Trends Contest.

    Fill in the coupon and, on leaving, drop it off at the designated area at the Reception Centre.

    By participating, you will have a chance to win our fabulous Grand Prize: a package 'Une nuit romantique au Moulin et des visites culturelles' from the Auberge des Glacis, L'Islet Gastronomic Auberge, a value of $309 CDN.

  • Persons with restricted physical ability

    The Kéroul organization has classified the Domaine's site as 'partially accessible'.

    Dedicated services:

    • Two reserved spaces are available in the parking lot near the Reception Centre.
    • Two non-motorized wheelchairs are available free of charge at the Reception Centre, subject to availability. You can reserve them by contacting us at info@domainejoly.com or at 418-926-2462.
    • Guide and/or assistance dogs are allowed on the site as well as inside the Interpretation Centre and the Café (closed this season).
    • Upon presentation of the Companion Leisure Card (CAL), the companion of a disabled person who is unable to carry out an activity without being accompanied is FREE OF CHARGE.
  • Visiting with your pet

    The presence of pets (dog or cat) is allowed on the site.

    • You must keep them on a leash at all times (less than 1 metre long).
    • You must bring your bags to pick up your pet's excrement (if you have forgotten, request them at the Reception Centre) and dispose of them in the garbage cans.

    This way, you contribute in keeping the premises clean and in respecting other visitors.

    Pets are not allowed in the Café (closed this season) and in the Pointe Platon Manor (Interpretation Centre), even if you carry them in your arms, unless they are guide or assistance dogs.

    And if this seems trivial to you, please bear in mind that for some other visitors, the fear of cats and dogs is very real.
